If you're planning to redecorate your home for fall or give your space a facelift, make sure to do it before the end of September, as another retailer has joined the list of 2025 store closures, alongside Kroger, CVS, Rite Aid, Kohl's and more. This time, in the home decor and furniture space as At Home has announced plans to shutter 30 store locations by September 30, 2025.
Why is At Home closing stores?
On June 16, 2025, At Home filed for bankruptcy, sharing that the company had nearly $2 billion in funded debt, according to a press release issued by the company. In that same statement, At Home shared, "We are operating against the backdrop of an increasingly dynamic and rapidly evolving trade environment as we navigate the impact of tariffs."
Under new management, the company planned to close 26 store locations across the United States, but later rescinded the shuttering of two locations. On August 1, 2025, At Home announced six more locations would be closing, totalling 30 stores. These closings are expected to take place by September 30, 2025, per court documents.
What At Home locations are closing?
Spanning east to west, closures are expected to take place in 15 states, with California experiencing the most shutterings with eight location closures.
Before stores close their doors for good, At Home is offering a host of going-out-of-business deals, such as up to 30% off all items, including store fixtures and equipment, until they're sold. The company also stated, all sales made after August 1 are final and "coupons and other non-employee discounts will not be applied in addition to sale prices at closing stores."
Gift cards, gift certificates, loyalty and credit card rewards will be accepted until August 14 at closing locations.
