It may be the dog days of summer, but Starbucks' fans are counting down until the return of the pumpkin spice latte (PSL) — and new beloved cups that are designed for fall.
While officials at Starbucks just recently announced another new wave of seasonal summer merchandise, TikTok users are more abuzz over new photos and videos being shared on the platform that reportedly feature upcoming fall 2023 merchandise designs. Plus, eagle-eyed users have also spotted multiple photos of a Halloween-exclusive design that's rumored to hit Target stores as early as next month.
Details have yet to be confirmed by officials at Starbucks, but one established TikTok account dedicated to cup hunters recapped leaked corporate materials recently, which suggest fall merchandise will be released on Tuesday, August 29. As many Starbucks aficionados already know, some items will be released exclusively at cafés within licensed retail locations; think Target, large supermarkets like Kroger and Safeway, hospitals and airports, among others.
An initial wave of merchandise will include at least six different tumblers, if not more, per social media users — including new colorways for beloved designs that have debuted in seasons past, like a brand new Barbiecore-esque Siren Shell plastic cold cup in a Venti (24oz) size.
Fans will also be thrilled to hear of a new two-tone ombré studded cold cup in yellow and teal. Photos of the product's SKU suggest new Venti-sized cups will be available for $22.95, in line with merchandise released in years prior. Other options reportedly included in the first wave of Starbucks' new fall collection include two stainless steel tumblers, a double-wall ceramic cup, and a yellow soft touch stainless steel water bottle.
Moreover, images of a new soft-touch Venti-sized tumbler with a "slime" appliqué in neon green have been circulating online for weeks, a brand-new style that social media users are claiming to be part of Starbucks' upcoming Halloween collection. Every year, diehard Starbucks fans go wild for these rare tumblers and cups, featuring special features like glow-in-the-dark finishes, among other characteristics.
While details have not been confirmed just yet, Starbucks' officials are sure to share more about their upcoming fall collection soon — after all, new cups currently in store do feature back-to-school motifs and late summer vibes. According to a company press release, a "Back to School" cold cup (available for $19.95) is now available in cafés across the U.S. — accompanied by other late seasonal items, including a "lime" Kaleidoscope cold cup ($22.95).
One thing's for sure: Fall is just around the corner, or at least it is for Starbucks fans. We'll continue to update this post with more information about the upcoming Fall 2023 merchandise collection as it becomes available. And in the meantime, snap up any of the 10+ new cups that have landed in Starbucks stores this July! Happy hunting.
