- Ken Jennings has been the host of Jeopardy! since July 2022.
- The TV host will make an appearance on the new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in the summer of 2025.
- Fans may be concerned Ken is leaving Jeopardy! with everything he has going on.
When Ken Jennings first appeared on Jeopardy! back in 2004, not even he could have predicted his future with the show.
After winning 74 games on the hit show in a record-breaking streak, Ken's life would oscillate between being a game show contestant and making other exciting career moves (like writing books). But Ken's love of knowledge really took on another level in July 2022, when he became the host of Jeopardy! more than a year after Alex Trebek's death in November 2020. It's in this role viewers get to see Ken truly shine as a TV personality, both from knowing so much trivia and his genuine interactions with every contestant looking to make a name for themselves like he did.
As Ken takes on another year as a familiar face on the small screen, however, some fans are concerned about his role. Ken is expanding his work in the world of game show television in a way folks wouldn't necessarily expect, leading some to wonder: Is Ken Jennings leaving Jeopardy! as host in 2025?
In an announcement made on June 16, viewers learned that a new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire will premiere on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. What's more, each episode will feature celebrity pairs working together to raise money for their charities of choice.
As viewers watched a teaser trailer debut on Instagram, they learned Ken is one of the famous faces they'll get to see at some point during the new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. And if that's not enough, he's teaming up with actor Matt Damon for his installment on the show.
"Do we love Matt Damon or what?" Ken joked in the snippet.
"I'm coming onto Jeopardy! with someone you hate!" host Jimmy Kimmel jested right back.
Even though fans were initially surprised by Ken's upcoming appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, the news also left them excited by what's to come.
"Ken and Matt 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️," one person wrote in the comments. "Can't wait!!! 🔥🔥🔥," another exclaimed. "Can't wait to watch Ken Jennings and Matt Damon, that'll be fun!" a different follower added.
Now, this looks like it's going to be quite a busy summer for Ken! And let's not forget, this isn't the only guest appearance he'll be making outside of Jeopardy!. He's also set to make a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2 when it airs on Netflix on July 25.
Looks like we'll have to tune in and see how he fares on another game show!
