After sending not one, not two, but four kids off to college, Ree is pretty much a pro at this point. Now, the fifth and last of the Drummond kids is headed to school. And while Ree might have a lot of practice when it comes to those dreaded sendoffs, being an empty nester is a whole new world for her to navigate. Considering how emotional we get when remembering how little the kids were when The Pioneer Woman first started, we can only imagine how Ree and Ladd are feeling. We know there have been a lot of tears... and walks around the ranch. đ„ș
But before saying goodbye to Todd as she dropped him off at The University of South Dakota (where heâs playing football!) came getting him ready for the next chapter of his life. Any mom will tell you: Sending a child off to college means setting them up for success with a well-equipped dorm room. So, of course, thatâs exactly what Ree didâand she took us along with her! Thatâs right. Just when you thought The Pioneer Womanâs content couldnât get any better, she shared this gem of a video giving us an inside look at her and Toddâs dorm room shopping trip.
The best part? The shopping trip took place at none other than the home of The Pioneer Woman collection: Walmart! Which means Ree and Todd just had to make a stop by her own aisle. She even told him, âTodd, Iâve decided you can get anything you want in this section right here.â That sounds like a great deal to us! But our favorite part of the video has to be Todd exclaiming, âThatâs my mommy!â as he browsed her products. Aw! đ Now thatâs sure to be a memory Ree holds dear during this big life change.
After a little looking around, the two got busy with what they came to accomplishâgrabbing some of Reeâs own products along the way (obviously!). âIâve actually been wanting one of these,â Ree said while putting a floral throw into the cart. âYeah, Iâll take thatâ was Toddâs response. We think they might need to grab another. Itâs a bestseller for a reason... and it does match his red bedding perfectly!
Storage bins, hangers, bedding, towels, and plenty of toiletries are only some of the other things Ree made sure to load Todd up with. âPlease note that Neosporin is the answer to most questions in life. Please note also that athletes need lots of deodorant,â she said in her caption. We told you sheâs a pro!
If you havenât already, you need to watch the whole video. Then maybe watch it againâbecause thatâs what we did! We guarantee youâll get some good laughs out of it. Are we the only ones who could watch an hour-long Pioneer Woman special of this?
And if youâve got kids going off to school soon (or want to redo your own homeâwhich we think is a great idea, by the way) weâve rounded up several essential items from Reeâs line that theyâll definitely want to take with them. Browse below to check some out! But we have to warn you, you might be seeing that drawstring laundry bag back at your house the next time your teen visits home. đ
