One of the most iconic Halloween movies, Hocus Pocus introduces viewers to the Sanderson sisters, 17th-century witches who get resurrected in the 20th century by a brother and sister. The trio wish to become immortal, and have just one night to make sure they stick around in this day and age. What occurs is an adventure that's perfect for families to get into the Halloween spirit.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)
Set 30 years after the first film, the Sanderson sisters are back ... and are looking to once again make their mark in the modern world! Along the way, the witches get introduced to new inventions (hello, robot vacuums!), tell the story of how they became witches, and attempt to find new ways to shirk off the curse cast upon them centuries earlier.

Twitches (2005)
Tia and Tamera Mowry star as long-lost twins who learn they're witches on their 21st birthday. Together, they learn to navigate their powers all while trying to save the world where they initially came from ... and their birth mother still lives. How's that for the ultimate birthday surprise?
Halloweentown (1998)
Marnie is a teenage girl who discovers she is descended from a family of witches. When she and her siblings go to visit their grandmother in the fictional Halloweentown, they must band together to stop evil forces from taking over. The film was widely successful, and it later became a movie franchise with three additional sequel films.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Jack Skellington is the king of Halloween Town, and is threatened by the creation of a town dedicated to all things Christmas. In order to make sure he still has control of everything he created, he schemes to take over Christmas Town and become the king as well. The movie is a well-loved Tim Burton movie, and it constantly has folks debating one major question: Is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween or Christmas movie?
The Addams Family (1991)
They're creepy and they're kooky, and definitely mysterious and spooky! Based on the famous cartoons and the hit 1960s TV series, the movie follows the macabre family while they reconnect with a man who they think is a long-lost member of their clan. The movie later featured a sequel, Addams Family Values.
Beetlejuice (1988)
When Adam and Barbara Maitland move into a new home in New England, they learn a terrifying secret: their house is haunted by spirits. In order to get said spirits off their property, they enlist the help of a man called Beetlejuice. But while he initially seems charming, Beetlejuice's presence may lead to more harm than good.
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
In this Johnny Depp film, the actor stars as an artificial humanoid who gets left unfinished. So he fashions hands made of scissors, and he finds himself being taken in by a human family while simultaneously falling in love with their teenage daughter. The movie is equal parts spooky and lovable, and folks won't forget this film anytime soon.

Goosebumps (2015)
Based on the famed R.L. Stine books, Jack Black stars as the author himself, who must team up with his daughter and teenage neighbor when he he discovers all the monsters in his novels have come to life.
Hubie Halloween (2020)
Adam Sandler portrays Hubie Dubois, a Halloween-obsessed delicatessen employee who is often the victim of practical jokes made by the folks living in his town of Salem, Massachusetts. When a kidnapper pulls off various robberies across town, it's up to him to save Salem ... with the occasional hijinks of his own.
Practical Magic (1998)
Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman portray Sally and Gillian Owens, sisters who are descendants of a powerful line of witches. After their parents die from a family curse, the duo are raised by their aunts, who teach them practical ways to use their magical powers. When the spirit of Gillian's abusive boyfriend comes to destroy them, Sally and Gillian team up to take him down.

Coraline (2009)
Based on Neil Gaiman's 2002 children's novella of the same name, Coraline follows the titular character as she discovers a hidden door leading to a fantasy version of the life she currently lives.
