Halloween might be a holiday filled with kid-friendly crafts and activities, but that doesn't mean the adults can't get in on the fun. Sure, the trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving might be for the young ones, but the ideas are endless for epic costumes (both DIY or storebought), deliciously spooky party treats, and fun Halloween games for adults.

Classic adult party games include pumpkin bowling, pumpkin chess or pumpkin tic-tac-toe. There's also a seasonal cocktail blind taste test or an entertaining activity called pumpkin chuckin'. When it comes to Halloween adult activities, remember that some may only be suitable for certain environments (tip: probably not best to try out any of the drinking games if you're in an office environment with coworkers). With that in mind, we've featured everything from traditional, PG-friendly Halloween party ideas to fun drinking activities that'll get everyone in the competitive (and spooky!) spirit.

Even better? Many of these top Halloween party ideas and adult games can be DIY'ed with little to no cost, meaning you can spend the extra you save on fun Halloween decorations or even an awesome couples costume. Have fun with your ghouls, remember to party responsibly, and don't forget that frightening game face!

Halloween Blind Cocktail Taste Test

Nothing's quite as enjoyable as a seasonal cocktail, and we love using the spooky holiday to experiment with new drink ideas and recipes. Get inspiration from our Halloween cocktail roundup, brew up a few of your favorites — like the "pomegranate poison spritz" or the "eye-see-you martini" — and then see if your guests can guess the names by blindfolding them for a taste test. Bonus points if they know what's inside — vodka, rum, ginger, tequila, etc.

Halloween Two Truths and a Lie

Always a classic, this version with a spooktacular spin encourages players to keep their truths and lie based on past Halloween experiences. Ask guests to come up with two truths and a lie. Did they toilet paper someone's house on Mischief Night? Did they truly make all their costumes from scratch? Let everyone vote on which statement they think never happened. Losers have to take a sip!

Get creative right from the start with party invitations that include the beginning of a written Halloween story. Tell guests to come to the party with their own ideas for adding to the story. And before the bash ends, invite guests to read their stories to each other. No one will know what to expect since every story has a different ending, and you'll love hearing all the different versions your family and friends come up with!

Even if you aren't a huge Halloween movie fan, there are certain things, like a mask from Friday the 13th or a scream mask from Scream, that anyone can identify from classic horror flicks. Scatter items best associated with certain movies throughout the room and ask guests to match all the items with the right movies. First one to get all of them correct wins!

A twist on the classic murder mystery set up, at the beginning of the party, secretly choose a guest to be "the murderer." As everyone mingles, have your "murderer" wink at whoever they choose. If you're winked at, you "die" on the spot. It's a race for everyone to figure out who "the murderer" is before everyone is out! If you see "the murderer," you can also shout "witness" and name the killer. If you're wrong, you're out of the game.

It was a classic back in school for a reason — it's easy to play and the reward is oh-so sweet if you win. Fill up a jar with a certain number of your favorite Halloween candies and have party guests guess how many are in the jar. Give players three tries, and whoever gets closest gets to keep the jar of treats.

Perfect to play with a larger group of guests (since it becomes more challenging the more people you have) one person starts this game by coming up with a Halloween-themed phrase then whispering it to the person next to them. The guest next to you will repeat what the first person said and say their own phrase before sharing everything with the next guest to keep the excitement going.

An oldie but a goodie — but with a twist! Keep the lights off as everyone hides and runs from the seeker. If the seeker finds you, they'll take you to the "cemetery" where you'll lay like a corpse until the last person is caught.
