As we're grabbing our ugly Christmas sweaters for holiday parties and pulling out the holiday ornaments to decorate our Christmas trees, the mood is right for a heart-warming Christmas movie marathon. That's where our list of the best new Christmas movies of 2024 comes in handy.
Every year, new movies are added to the Christmas genre. Fans of festive films are well familiar with Hallmark's "Countdown to Christmas" event or Lifetime hosting a marathon of movies throughout the season. Even the streaming sites are getting into the holiday game, with titles that may just rival the ones we've been watching for decades. But it's time to add a new selection of movies to our ever-growing list, from a new superhero movie with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Chris Evans to a family comedy starring Gilmore Girls actress Lauren Graham. Some feature well-loved holiday movie stars, like Lacey Chabert and Erin Krakow. No matter which movie you choose though, every movie on this list is bound to warm our hearts.

A young woman is hoping to find the man of her dreams during the holiday season. This leads her on a heart-racing adventure across New York City, where she's hoping to find tickets to see a sold-out Pentatonix concert. And in typical Netflix fashion, it wouldn't be a holiday film without the world-renowned acapella group making an appearance as well!
A Sudden Case of Christmas

In this ensemble comedy, an American couple decides to take their 10-year-old daughter to visit her grandfather in Italy over the summer. It's at her grandfather's hotel the couple reveals they're separating, leading the young girl on a mission to try and bring her family back together for one more Christmas.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Based on the beloved children's book of the same name, the movie follows six siblings who decide they'd teach their small-town community the meaning of Christmas. How do they do that? By hacking the local Christmas pageant, of course! Gilmore Girls fans, you'll want to pay attention to this. Lauren Graham not only narrates the heartwarming family comedy, she also makes a special appearance!

Santa Tell Me

Mark your calendars, When Calls the Heart fans! Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing have a TV reunion in this heartfelt film, which follows an interior designer discovering a letter from Santa telling her about meeting the love of her life (named Nick) on Christmas Eve. What comes from it is an adventure toward the ultimate holiday romance.

An Almost Christmas Story

In a sweet film from producer Alfonso Cuarón, the animated short follows a curious young owl who accidentally gets stuck in a Christmas tree destined to sit in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. While he tries to get out of the busy city, he meets a young girl and they embark on an adventure that highlights the magic of the holiday season.

A popular beauty salon owner is preparing to be honored for her charity work at a high-society Atlanta holiday ball. What she doesn't expect is to meet the charismatic CEO of his family's wine company, and they're immediately attracted to one another. But her mom (who also heads the committee for the annual ball) isn't necessarily too keen on the budding romance, and she has concerns about how he will affect the event's traditions.

9-1-1 star Jennifer Love Hewitt recruits her husband Brian Hallisay to star in a movie for Lifetime's "It's a Wonderful Lifetime" holiday programming. This film follows a decorator and party planner as she faces her first Christmas without her mother. Although she may find some challenges along the way, she may have a comrade in a handsome house manager with his own holiday secrets.

Ben Stiller's latest family comedy is all about the holiday season, and it comes with some emotional ties to it. Following a man who is obsessed with work, he's forced to move to Ohio to take care of his sister's kids after she suddenly passes. He's surprised to discover the kids are all great ballet dancers, and he eventually seeks to find them an outlet that'll showcase their incredible talent.
