"It's important for me to tell people that they too can feel great and get to a place where their symptoms are under control," she told Self.

4LeAnn Rimes

The rash spread over her entire body and she tried treatment after treatment to no avail. Eventually it started affecting her voice. "[That's when] I lost it … I felt depressed and I felt horrible," she told People. Lauper, now 66, has come to accept her condition. She previously worked with the National Psoriasis Foundation and Novartis as part of their information campaign.
6Kim Kardashian West

Kardashian West got the hereditary disease from her mom, Kris Jenner, who also started seeing symptoms when she was 30. But she doesn't let her psoriasis keep her from baring all. "To make myself feel better, I lay out all my insecurities before we start a shoot in hopes that no one will be focused on that. I just want to do fun and artsy things," she said on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "There's nothing I can do about [my psoriasis], so there's no reason why I should feel uncomfortable."

London says the disease made her feel "like a monster." Her work on the hit show helped her come to terms with her affliction. "It was never just about the clothes," London said. "We were using clothes to talk to people about significantly deeper personal issues. It's not like everyone on the show had psoriasis, but they had something."

Walking in more than 50 runway shows in a Fashion Week at the height of her modeling career, Delevingne experienced severe psoriasis flare-ups as well as anxiety and depression."People would put on gloves and not want to touch me because they thought it was, like, leprosy or something," she told the Daily Mail. Delevingne cites these experiences as the reason she focused on acting.

The 49-year-old compared the aching in his ankle, fingers, and wrist to that of sprains, and soon he was bedridden with the pain. However, he later received treatment, which allowed him to continue his golf career and win his third Masters in 2010 and the Open Championship in 2013.
