Ingredients
Black Cocoa Cookies
- 2/3 cup
confectioners' sugar
- 2 Tbsp.
water
- 1 Tbsp.
heavy cream
Food coloring
Directions
- Step 1Prepare cookie dough as directed, breaking into irregular shapes. Gently press plastic toy insects into each cookie, chill until firm, then bake as directed and let cool completely.
- Step 2Prepare the glaze. Whisk together sugar, water, and heavy cream until sugar is dissolved and no lumps remain. Adjust with additional water if needed and color with food coloring if desired.
- Step 3Place cookies on a wire rack set on top of parchment paper and spoon the glaze over top. Use a spoon to push it off the sides of the cookies so you can see the fossil shape below it.
