Ingredients

  • 1 lb.

    sweet Italian sausage, casings removed

  • 1/4 cup

     fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped

  • 1/4 cup

    fresh dill, chopped

  • 1/4 cup

     fresh chives, chopped

  • 1 Tbsp.

    finely grated lemon zest

  • 1 Tbsp.

    pure maple syrup, plus more for serving

Directions

    1. Step 1In medium bowl, mix together sausage, parsley, dill, chive, and lemon zest. Form into 16 small patties, each about 1/4 inches thick. 
    2. Step 2Cook patties in nonstick skillet on medium until golden brown and cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer to platter and brush with syrup. Serve with extra syrup if desired.

Nutritional Information (per serving): About 110 calories, 8 g fat (2.5 g saturated), 6 g protein, 215 mg sodium, 3 g carb, 0 g fiber
