Turn homemade flour tortillas into a sweet, crispy treat by frying them until golden and showering them with cinnamon sugar. Serve with plenty of napkins on the side!

Ingredients
Canola or vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 1/2 cups
sugar
- 4 tsp.
ground cinnamon
- 6
uncooked Homemade Tortillas
Directions
- Step 1Heat 1 inch oil in large Dutch oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with paper towels.
- Step 2In shallow dish, whisk together sugar and cinnamon. Working 1 at a time, carefully lower tortilla into hot oil and fry until golden brown, 1 to 11/2 minutes per side. Transfer to prepared baking sheet and gently dab both sides with paper towels to remove excess oil. Sprinkle both sides with cinnamon-sugar mixture and tap to coat completely, then transfer to wire rack. Repeat with remaining tortillas dough rounds, returning oil to 350°F before frying each.
