Ingredients
All-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1
sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed (one 14-oz. package Dufour or half of 17.3-oz. package Pepperidge Farm; difference in yield depends on brand)
- 1
large egg, beaten
- 2 1/2 Tbsp.
Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup
labneh
Lime zest, for sprinkling
Directions
- Step 1Heat oven to 400°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. On lightly floured surface, unfold puff pastry. Brush dough with beaten egg and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, lightly pressing to adhere.
- Step 2Cut dough crosswise into strips 3/4 inch wide; twist each a few times and transfer to prepared sheets, spacing strips evenly and pressing ends of each onto parchment (this will help prevent unraveling during baking).
- Step 3Bake, rotating sheets halfway through, until golden brown, 12 to 14 minutes. Let cool on pans 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Serve with labneh, sprinkled with lime zest.
