creamy almond butter
- 4 Tbsp.
unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp.
kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp.
pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups
confectioners’ sugar, divided
- 1 1/2 cups
red candy-coated chocolates (we used M&M’s)
Directions
- Step 1Place cereal in large bowl and set aside. In separate large bowl, microwave chocolate chips, almond butter and butter on 50% power in 15-second increments, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Stir in salt and vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal and gently fold until well coated.
- Step 2In resealable gallon-size bag, combine half of cereal mixture and half of sugar. Seal, then shake until cereal is evenly coated. Transfer to bowl.
- Step 3In same bag, repeat with remaining cereal and sugar. Transfer to same bowl and fold in candy-coated chocolates. Package as desired. Store at room temperature in airtight container for up to 1 week.
