Homemade Pizza Dough
Achieve pizzeria-quality results without fancy equipment or ingredients.

All you need is a bowl and a spoon to make your own pizza dough at home. Skip the kneading and opt for a series of folds instead, then let the dough work its magic overnight in the fridge. Use the dough for pizza (of course) but also for rolls, sandwiches, and, yes, even dessert!
Ingredients
- 3 cups
(362 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 Tbsp.
granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp.
kosher salt
- 1 tsp.
active dry yeast
- 1 cup
plus 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1 Tbsp.
plus 1 teaspoon olive oil, divided
Directions
- Step 1In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm water and 1 tablespoon oil; using wooden spoon, mix together to form shaggy dough. Using hands, knead a few times until dough comes together into ball. Cover with towel or plastic wrap and let sit 5 minutes.
- Step 2Using hands, pick up dough and fold over itself 4 times counterclockwise; cover and let rest 5 minutes. Repeat 3 times, including resting time for each. Transfer to separate large bowl and drizzle with remaining teaspoon oil, rubbing to coat surface. Cover tightly with plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 1 day, up to 3 days.
