Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 small onion
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup peas
Directions
- Step 1In 4-quart saucepot, heat olive oil on medium. Add onion, finely chopped; ground cumin; and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cook 2 minutes.
- Step 2Add long-grain white rice; cook 2 minutes, stirring. Stir in water; heat to boiling on high. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Remove from heat; add peas. Let stand covered 5 minutes. Fluff with fork.
