In our taste tests, we found that few categories stirred up as much passion and friendly debate. Some people are hummus purists, whereas others love a zesty guacamole spread or a unique tangy pickle dip. But regardless of your favorite, there is no denying that these winners of our Good Housekeeping Snack Awards have a way of turning the simplest of snacks into something seriously delicious. Not only do these picks taste great, but our nutrition pros evaluated each to ensure that it was made from A+ ingredients. After plenty of dipping, here are the winners that struck the perfect balance of flavor and nutrition.

A pickle-based salsa with a fresh, crunchy twist, Grillo’s finely chops its popular dill pickles and mixes them with fresh bell peppers and onions to create a briny, tangy dip.

LAB RESULTS: GH Recipe Editor Susan Choung praised the dip’s versatility, saying you could use it as you would use pico de Gallo (such as atop tacos and grain bowls). Taste testers praised the crispy, “not mushy” texture and a pickle flavor that “isn’t overpowering.”
