Another food recall has been reported this week.
Feel Good Foods, which produces frozen, gluten-free comfort foods, initiated a nationwide recall for its Three Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites after metal pieces were found in the popular freezer snack. The product, which was sold at retailers nationwide, such as Target and Wegmans, was also available at online stores like Amazon Fresh, Instacart and Thrive Market.
Here's everything you need to know.
What product has been recalled?
The recall affects 8-ounce packages of the brand's Three Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites. Over 4,000 cases have been affected, according to the FDA.
- UPC: 8-99039-00280-8
- Lot codes: 24354AV1 or 24355AV1
- Best by dates: June 19, 2026 or June 20, 2026
How dangerous is the recall?
After the manufacturer alerts the FDA of a potential problem, the FDA evaluates the product's danger to public health and issues a classification (Class I, Class II or Class III). The mac and cheese bites were assigned Class II, which means the product "may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote," per the FDA's website.
Class II is more serious than Class III, but not as serious as Class I, which carries a higher likelihood that a product will cause adverse health consequences or even death.
What should I do if I have the recalled product?
If you purchased Feel Good Foods Three Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites that fit the recall description, do not consume them. You can return the package to the store you bought it for a refund. You can also contact Feel Good Foods' customer service at 1-800-638-8949.
