Fans know Elton John to always make his presence known, whether it be through music, film or whatever else he has up his sleeve. And while he loves to be in the spotlight, it's not often that those he loves most share the stage with him.
The singer was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2025 Oscars, and he was on hand to celebrate at the star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles. His Elton John AIDS Foundation is also known for throwing an epic fundraising soiree every year, and 2025 was no exception. As Elton made an appearance later on at the party, folks got to witness his husband David Furnish make an opening speech during the festivities. But as it turns out, David wasn't the only family member showing up for Elton that night.
In a clip posted on People's Instagram on March 2, Elton's fans got to see a rare appearance from Elton and David's sons, Zachary and Elijah. Standing alongside David for his opening remarks, the two appeared all grown up in matching suits and fiery red hair to boot.
When folks realized Zachary and Elijah were joining Elton and David for Hollywood's biggest night, they immediately couldn't get over seeing them online.
"They are so handsome! When did they grow up that big? Awesome! ❤️," one person wrote in the comments. "Wow I thought they were still little!" another exclaimed. "Handsome young men supporting their parents ❤️," a different follower added.
As some fans may know, Elton and David have been in a relationship since 1993. The two met at a dinner hosted by a mutual friend, and the rest is history. They eventually got engaged in 2005, and in 2006, they were one of the first same-sex couples to enter a civil partnership in England.
In regards to their family, Elton and David first welcomed Zachary via surrogate in December 2010. By January 2013, Elijah was born and their family was complete. What's more, Elton has expressed that his most favorite role has been being a dad.
I have had an incredibly fortunate 75 years," he wrote to them in an open letter published in Time in March 2022. "But know this: the most rewarding journey in my life has been the one I began 12 years ago with your Papa, when we decided to start a family. Zachary and Elijah, you two are the greatest gifts I have ever been given. You have filled my heart with love and my life with purpose and meaning in ways I didn’t think were possible. You are my proudest achievements, and I love you both so, so much."
