In case you missed it, Apple just announced the launch of the brand new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. The new phones are available for pre-order now and will begin shipping on September 20. While Apple claims that the latest iPhone is the most durable model yet, that doesn't mean that it's immune to the occasional scratch, dent or crack. With that in mind, we like to opt for a case that's equal parts fashionable and functional.

Our pros at the Good Housekeeping Institute have tested models from top brands, including Otterbox, Casetify and Apple for durability, drop protection and design. With this new phone release, many of our most popular iPhone cases have gotten a refresh to suit the specs of the latest model, which includes a new capture button on the side of the phone to make snapping photos that much easier. We've rounded up some updated iterations of top-tested models, plus trendy picks from editor-loved brands and reviewer favorites.

Prices listed are for iPhone 16 models. Pricing may vary if you're shopping for an iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max.
