In my house, advent calendars are a big deal. The school year had barely started, and we already found ourselves in possession of three different ones, squirreled away at the top of the closet and ready to emerge in December. So trust me when I say that, when it comes to advent calendars for kids (and let's face it, adults too), nobody does it better than LEGO. Each one offers a mix of fun LEGO figures, small builds that you can assemble and a sprinkling of holiday cheer to amplify the feeling that Christmas is coming. This year is no exception, and LEGO has advent calendars that celebrate Star Wars, Disney Princess, Spider-Man and Harry Potter, among others.

One thing to note: These advent calendars are extremely popular every year, so if you know someone who might want one, don't delay in snapping them up! And, if you have others on your list and are looking for more daily treats, check out Good Housekeeping's guides to advent calendars filled with chocolate, cheese, beauty items, socks and many more.
