It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since Disney's Encanto was first released. It feels like Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela, Bruno and the rest of the Family Madrigal have been around for so much longer. If Encanto fever shows no signs of abating in your casita, there may be some kids (and even adults) who would look forward to receiving more movie tie-ins as a holiday or birthday gift. But there's so much Encanto merch out there, it's hard to figure out what to choose.
When it comes to finding the best toys for kids or gifts for kids, the Good Housekeeping Institute keeps track of new releases, calling their favorites into the Parenting and Pets Lab and testing for safety and quality of construction. And while these items haven't all been tested in our labs, we still looked for toys from trusted brands that perform well in Good Housekeeping Institute tests, toys with great reviews and toys that have been recommended to us by die-hard Encanto fans. Kids just starting elementary school are obsessed with collecting these adorable Doorable figures. This one comes with every Encanto character they could possibly want, including Mirabel, Dolores, Louisa, Isabela, Camilo, Antonio, Julieta, Pepa and Bruno. Each figure is hiding behind its own door, so even opening the package is fun. Ages 5+
LEGO The Madrigal House Building Kit
Kids can build this 587-piece set, and then use it as a stage for imaginative play. When it's built, the three-level casita has many magical features, like a weather vane that spins, a bed that flips and shutters that wave. One Good Housekeeping tester said her 7-year-old was able to build it on her own, with just the slightest help. It also comes with figures of Abuela, Mirabel, Antonio, Chispi the capybara and a butterfly. Ages 6+
Disney Encanto Madrigal Family Surprises Advent Calendar
They can count down the days until Christmas with this Encanto-themed advent calendar, which offers surprises behind each family portrait. It includes 14 characters, including rare family members like Mariano, Young Mirabel and Augustin. And then there are 13 accessories, like one of Luisa's donkeys, Antonio's animal friends or Mirabel's sewing machine. Ages 3+
Your Encanto fan and their bestie can have fun divvying up the jewelry in this set, which features their favorite characters. They can find two rings, two "best friends" bead bracelets and two hair clips, and then they can dress in coordinating styles. Ages 3+
Jakks Mi Familia Figurine Doll Play Set
This Walmart-exclusive set features all 12 members of the Madrigal family, each posed according to their personality. The figures are roughly two inches high, so they can be used with other play sets. Ages 3+
Jakks Magical Madrigal House Play Set
This version of the Madrigal casita has a big "wow" factor, with loads of interactive features. There are seven rooms spread out across three floors, and the included Mirabel figure activates lights and sounds across the house. (Other figures are sold separately.) In addition, the stairs turn into a slide, Aunt Pepa's elevator changes the weather and magic doors open with twinkling lights. Ages 3+
Only Mirabel is included with the casita. If you want the whole family in on the party, this set of characters is the right size to play with inside the Magical Madrigal House Play Set. Each one also comes with an accessory that's emblematic of their special power and Mirabel gets her accordion). Ages 3+
Jakks Mirabel Room Accessories Play Set
If you don't want to spring for the entire Madrigal casita, you can buy the rooms of their favorite characters separately. Mirabel's room comes with accessories like her sewing machine, a jaguar doll and her accordion. Fun things happen when she steps in certain spots: The doors swing open, the windows slam shut and her bed even shakes her awake. Ages 3+
Animal fans will thrill with Antonio's play set, since it comes with a jaguar and a coati. Antonio can swing his coati friend, or the vines can detach to turn the swing into an animal bed. Ages 3+

Sadly, we never get to see Luisa's room in the Encanto movie. But that doesn't mean she doesn't get a fun play set. The Luisa figure can hold her donkey friend on her shoulders, and then use her strength to launch a barrel with a catapult. Ages 3+
This Mirabel plush is so soft, and comes with amazing details embroidered into her outfit. At 18", it's also pretty big, making it perfectly sized to carry around or snuggle up with at night. Ages 3+
This toy might even inspire kids to make up songs about their own families! It looks just like Mirabel's accordion, and kid can stretch it and squeeze it like the real thing. It plays songs from the movie, or kids can put it in free play mode and make music with the buttons. Ages 3+
