"It leaves some feeling of residue on my palms, but thankfully it doesn’t feel slick or oily," she shares. "It leaves hands with a matte finish." Just note that it has a strong banana scent.

If your hands are feeling extra parched, lather on this Deborah Lippmann hand cream that has a "rich texture," according to Butler. She recommends it for dry hands due to the thicker consistency. "I really like the clean, fresh laundry scent," she shares.

During testing, she found that the cream left her hands shiny but not greasy, so you won't have slippery fingers after application. However, the one downside to this product is that when you close the twist cap, extra product can come out, which may be messy.

Though simply wearing sunscreen everyday is one of the best ways to fight aging, wearing this luxurious hand cream will provide even more anti-aging benefits.

She notes that it feels hydrating and "dries down to a very light finish. It may not be a good pick for very dry hands, but it is great for those who don't want a slippery sensation." Note that the tube is very small, so it likely won't last long.

Boasting the highest SPF of all the hand creams on this list, Supergoop's formula can be a "good choice for outdoor days when you really want good sun protection," says Butler, who notes it feels most like a regular sunscreen of all the options on this list (read: it feels heavier than other formulas and can leave a bit of an oily residue).

Dr. Land also recommends this pick because it "contains antioxidants and moisturizing ingredients," she explains. "It is fragrance-free and dries down quickly after application."

Of all the SPF hand creams we tested, this is the only one that's water-resistant, which means it can be suitable for water activities (but don't forget to reapply!). However, it can feel like it leaves a coating on the skin, likely due to the water-resistant formula.
