This sunscreen by Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare is a mineral-based formula with zinc oxide. It also contains hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe, fatty acids and antioxidants. Lab experts deem it “a hero for hydrating skin,” leaving a dewy finish, and it was a favorite among our testers. Our Lab pros add that this formula applies easily and helps soften skin.
Although it has a high concentration of the mineral sun filter, testers reported that it doesn’t leave a chalky film on the skin, but rather, a silky texture that melts into the skin. Multiple testers even reported that they didn’t need to apply a moisturizer beforehand, with one noting that their “dry skin felt like it was actually moisturized.”
