Mel B is officially in her rock era on America's Got Talent!

The NBC series is officially in the middle of airing season 20, and the auditions are certainly causing a stir among the judges and audiences! And rock band Girish and the Chronicles (hailing from Sikkim, India) made an impression during the June 3 episode.

As the quartet appeared onstage, Mel B, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara and Simon Cowell were not expecting them to give an audition akin to an '80s rock concert. As they sang a rendition of Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain," everyone was on their feet singing along. And if that wasn't enough, Mel B had to share her thoughts about Girish and the Chronicles' audition.

"I don't know what it is about you," she stated in a clip posted on YouTube. "But I think you're one of my favorite acts so far this season!"

What's more, Simon was equally floored by Girish and the Chronicles' audition. "You can't fake the reaction behind this," he added. "They liked you, we liked you. Your voice is really, really good, by the way."

As soon as Girish and the Chronicles' audition went viral on social media, people were absolutely floored by the group's performance.

"The fact that they did an Adele song really made it cool," one person wrote in the comments. "What the heck? These guys are fantastic. Just as good as any mainstream rock band, even better than most. Great performance," another exclaimed. "The world is not ready for GATC !!!!! Rock and Roll’s here to STAY 🤘," a different follower added.

Now, did Girlish and the Chronicles' audition earn them a spot in the competition? You bet they did! Now, we just have to wait and see what their journey on AGT is like throughout season 20 ...
