Today marks the first day of fall 2025. Whether you're Team "Summer Should Last Year-Round" or Team "Bring on the Sweaters," I hope we can all agree on one thing: Fall brings the best candle scents. After all, who doesn't want notes of pumpkin, apple, vanilla, and cinnamon wafting through the house to kick off cozy season?

Every year, we find ourselves returning to Yankee Candle for its nostalgic scents that remind us of autumns past. In an intriguing twist, per Yankee, this year brings updated labels and a new wax formula that should be less prone to soot and tunneling. There are also a few brand-new seasonal scents, and some candles are on sale at up to half off!

Since ordering candles online can feel like a shot in the dark, a group of candle-obsessed Good Housekeeping editors got our hands on 24 of Yankee Candle's fall scents and ranked them from 1-10 (with 10 being the best), to give you the scoop on which scents deserve a spot in your home—and which you can skip. As you'll be able to tell, we held nothing back! Then, I averaged out the scores to form our official ranking of Yankee Candle's best fall scents, making your candle shopping easier than ever.
